After news broke that inflation is not slowing as quickly as Wall Street had hoped, the Dow Jones Industrial Average dropped more than 1,250 points, marking the worst day for stocks in more than two years. The drop was initiated by the news that inflation decelerated to 8.3% in August, which was not enough to keep traders optimistic about an economic bounce back and lowered inflation.
